Very Light Cycling tours in France

The very light cycling stages of La Ligne Verte will not exceed 40 kmand cycling time will be no more than 4 hours a day.
These tours are also well suited for families with small children, with enough opportunities to stop for a swim in a river or lake or have a canoe trip.

Level 1 and 2 (out of 7) flat and rolling with some small short and light climbs.

Lodging: every night an other hotel; you can book extra nights in any hotel.

Light Cycling holidays in South of France

The light cycling stages of La Ligne Verte will not exceed 60 kmand cycling time will be no more than 4 to 5 hours a day.
These tours are also well suited for families with children, with enough opportunities to stop for a swim in a river or lake or have a canoe trip.

Level 1 and 2 (occasionally 3) out of 7 mostly flat and rolling with some small short climbs.

Lodging: every night an other hotel; you can book extra nights in any hotel.

Moderate Cycling Holidays in South of France

For all holiday-makers  who particularly like biking in a beautiful natural environment with a hillier profile and some longer ascents and descents in middle range mountains.
Families with sports loving children aged 15 and more can make this tours. There will be enough time left for rest, lunch, sightseeing or for taking a break beside a river or a lake and going for a swim.
Some longish climbs between 350 m and 750 meters. Itinerary between 350 and 1000 meters altitude.

Daily distances will not exceed 70 km. Levels 2 and 3; occasionally 4 (out of 7).

Lodging: every night an other hotel; you can book extra nights in any hotel.

Challenging Cycling Tours in France

Lots of longer ascents and descents in middle range mountains. Several climbs a day of more than 300m and sometimes more than 600m should be no problem.

Daily distances of 60 to 90 km a day. More longish climbs (5 - 9 km, up to 500m elevation gains, more times a day). Tours between 350 and 1000 meters altitude except for the Mont Ventoux and the Mont Aigoual "hors catégorie".
Levels 2 , 3, 4 and occasionally 5 (out of 7).

Lodging: every night an other hotel; you can book extra nights in any hotel.

The Tours are offered in 5 hotel classes: standard, plus, superior and luxury. Shower and WC en suite in all classes. Global price indications of a 8 day (7 nights) tour with 7 dinners, 7 BnB, all luggage transfers, roadmaps, written instructions, assistance when in trouble included. Prices per person, Basic rates double occupancy, two sharing room:

• Standard packages are in ** and *** hotels (often Logis de France and owner run hotels) with shower and bath en suite and much "vieille pierres" as they call here natural stone built houses. In the best of family hotels we have come to know over the years (no chain hotels!). Quality of our owner-run hotels in Aveyron is more than can be expressed in the number of stars!

• Plus packages have one or more nights in *** hotels and exceptionally in guesthouses, some with a pool).

• Superior packages have more ** and **** hotels.
